Hello everyone! So Lilia's foreign adventure this year is......INDIA! Hey none of you saw that coming:). Im going with a Travel Study group from SDSU. Its a course called "Women in India." It will be VERY interesting. I am planning on keeping everyone updated as I blog from India all of my experiences and impressions. I will probably post images too..it will be REALLY cool. We will visit three cities: Delhi, Agra, and Hyderabad. We will study with Indian Women’s Studies professors and students and visit numerous women's NGOs (non-governmental organizations). The group will also visit many of the great sites of India, including the Taj Mahal, The Ganges etc.... the flavors...the sounds...the colors... the sights...the wonder of India..Here I come...Mexican meets India :)

Well shit, I bet if they had known that the little weasel was going to rig the votes anyway, then they would have supported his campaign...When survivors in New Orleans began chanting "Where's George Bush?" yesterday how come the BBC was the only major network to show it? I can't understand why there aren't enough National Guard at the scene? Cops? Soldiers? SOMEONE!?
--I guess we aren't trying to show off in front of the world wide community, like we did with the Tsunami a few months ago. It's our own people, and they are starving to death..I never thought I'd see the day when thousands of people so close to help are dying because of the simplest things, especially in this country. Its not like its half the world away, or in a remote area, or across the damn ocean..its freakin' LOUISIANA! Its ridiculous. no...its BULLSHIT!!!
first day of classes at State.It was freakin' hot!...the Green line is a pretty convenient way of getting there. The transit station is super cool. Though I did notice there were a dozen cops making sure no one was free riding. I think my ticket was checked maybe like 3 times, and it wasnt because I was Mexican!!
I went to Disneyland yesterday...IT IS the happiest place on earth!! The new castle is awesome, and the new fireworks show is enchanting! Also, spacemountain has reopened..its so great!!

A reason for protecting freedom of speech as a fundamental right is that it is essential for the discovery of TRUTH.
I do want to make something clear. This is my page, and I welcome comments. However, I think that perhaps in did not make something clear enough, lets try again. It is MY website, so if I dont like your comments, they are GOOONE! There are few people at that place that are decent. If I liked you, you knew it. I am the most upfront person you'll ever meet. The adventure begins. the plan: drive to flagstaff thursday night. friday morning: visits to the painted desert and the grand canyon..then sleep at the golden nugget in laughlin..relax there for a day, then head for vegas. return to Sunny D sunday night....But let me tell you, woohoo....so far we almost ran out of gas twice in the middle of nowhere, Maggie says there is a lot of "historic businesess" in arizona, and there are bugs trying to enter our a/c heaven all the time!!!...damn desert people..how could human life survive here!! This year’s E3 is a big one, for one reason: new consoles. With all three of the big gaming companies pushing their new entertainment systems on the world, a lot of rumors and false information are being tossed around. Here are the facts on Sony’s upcoming platform, the PlayStation 3.
The heart of the PlayStation 3 is its Cell processor, which Sony promises gives the console 35 times the power of its predecessor, the PlayStation 2. The primary game medium will be Blu-Ray storage devices, which hold significantly more data than a DVD. Despite this, the PlayStation 3 will be backwards compatible with both PlayStation 2 and PlayStation titles. The controllers will be wireless, using Bluetooth wireless connectivity; seven receivers will be present in the system. The receivers will not only allow for single-platform multiplayer, but also for linking multiple systems. Sony’s handheld system, the PSP, will also take advantage of this wireless connectivity, allowing the handheld to act as a controller or second screen, much in the way Nintendo’s GameBoy Advance can be connected to the GameCube console. The PlayStation 3 will be able to display on multiple screens, utilizing one or the other for multiple purposes both in-game and on-line. The system will support the sharpest style of HDTV, 1080p. On-line connectivity and the ability to access digital audio, video, and photography mean that the PlayStation 3 will begin to bridge the gap between consoles and PCs. The console will include a built-in gigabyte Ethernet port, handling both 802.11b and 802.11g wireless Internet access.
Several tech demos have been made available to the public, most notably to Final Fantasy fans a short remake of the opening of Final Fantasy VII rendered with the PlayStation 3’s more-powerful processors. The video, along with others, can be found at GameTrailers.com.
Sony claims the PlayStation 3 will be available in roughly one year’s time, Spring 2006. Whether it will appear first in Japan, like its two predecessors, is unknown.

The first Nintendo World store at New York City's Rockefeller Center opened with a large public party Saturday. The store is the first of its kind in the world, there are some exclusives, such as a gold-plated Game Boy Advance SP signed by legendary Nintendo game author, Shigeru Miyamoto.
Its two stories have a sleek, modern appearance, with lots of white and silvery hues. Besides containing plenty of gaming areas on both floors, there are tables for Pokémon card games by the first-floor stairs(Dork squad area).Upstairs, glass cases sit filled with "historic" Nintendo artifacts like an original Game Boy almost melted in combat but, as the glowing screen attests, still able to play cartridges. Bob Stoik, director of merchandising for Nintendo's North American operations, said 2,000 to 3,000 visitors were expected for the grand opening, but 4,000 to 5,000 showed up.
If ever in the big apple, I would certaintly stop by and visit!
to continue in my computer nerd spirit, check out this article from wired news. I personally think the only reason macs can claim the whole "no viruses" thing is because the guys that make viruses wont work on something that wont reach many computers. They target where they can cause most damage. Perhaps thats going to change for mac though.
Who cares about a computer that you order fries with (aka Big MAC)? 90% of the computer industry uses PCs as well as 90% of software is written for PCs and Windows. If you want to limit yourself with a lack of performance and software selection then by all means go ahead and buy a Mac. Just about everywhere you go sells PC software and maybe if you are lucky a tiny section of Mac software. Of course the software you do find for Macs is usually more expensive than the PC software. While PCs have the backing of some of the biggest companies on the planet; Macs struggle along with their tough ardent cult of supporters.
Apple's pricing scheme is outrageous. I could get a PC that's nearly twice as fast as an iMac for half the price. This, my friend, is why Apple owns less than 5% of the computing market.When it comes to software compatibility (especially games), the PC wins, no questions asked. Very few games are compatible with Macs; just ask any hardcore computer nerd.
If your dog eats your hard drive, or you spill beer on your computer and it some how leaks down and soaks your motherboard, it's gonna take a while to get that fixed if you're a Mac user, unless the Apple store is in your backyard. First, you have to find out the 200-letter name of the part you're missing, call Apple, order the part, and then wait a month for the parts to be delivered. Your computer sits in the corner, useless the entire time and gathering dust. Then, when the piece finally arrives (if it didn't break during shipping), you have to find out where the piece goes, and then struggle for hours trying to get the piece to fit. If you're a PC user and this happens, all you have to do is take your machine to the nearest computer shop.
Perhaps Macs they are meant for the mentally challenged as demonstrated by their recent ad campaign of people who can't handle the simple tasks (such as turning the computer on). The only reason Macs are still around is because Bill Gates invested in them so they wouldn't go under. If you don't believe it, do some checking.
All in all I will keep my PC. Parts and repair shops are abundant, I know it inside and out, and it is almost the industry standard.
Will I ever go over to a Mac? Probably not, it would take a lot of convincing, more software and repair accessability...Im just waiting for Linux to knock mac down to third...
So Im in my Family Guy obsession period...in case you are wondering. The other day I was watching tv and I realized how similar these characters are...haha..Do you guys see any resemblance? In a fight, who do you think would win? The Brain does have Pinky to help him out, but is that an advantage or disadvantage? I think The Brain would just be happy with publically humiliating Stewie, but I think Stewie would be out for blood...

My friend sent me this episode of The Simpsons to watch--it's quite funny! I have to say that I think they're kind of running on fumes for many of their little jokes, but overall, it was a nice episode. *Thumbs up* to the residents of Springfield! Even if you were only in it for the money! ;)
